There will be REQUIRED training associated with this event. Volunteers will be contacted upon acceptance with next steps.
Never attended our training before? You will be required to attend our CN 101 Training on Saturday Sept. 13th and Sunday Sept. 14th. This training will provide 1.2 CEUs (BEI Ethics).
All volunteers are eligible for the CN Practicum during the camp. Must be present all week, follow all expected schedule requirements, and meet with DBCTX Training staff for feedback sessions. This training will provide 4.2 CEUs (BEI Ethics).
RID CEUs for these trainings are pending for Power, Privilege, and Oppression related topics. TSID is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This Professional Studies program is offered for 1.2 & 4.2 CEUs respectively at the Some Content Knowledge Level.

The fine print:
Participants, volunteers, and staff must follow all host camp rules as well as the following DBCTX policies. Anyone found in violation of these policies may be subject to review and possible dismissal pending investigation.
COMMUNICATION POLICY
DBCTX respects the communication preferences of all persons who attend camp. Attendants have some degree of hearing and vision loss, so communication modes may include spoken language, sign language, use of assistive devices, or a combination.
CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY
DBCTX has a zero tolerance policy for illegal drugs. Individuals attending or volunteering at DBCTX must not bring illegal drugs into camp, work while intoxicated, come onto the camp grounds while intoxicated, or smoke in non-designated smoking areas. Please practice responsible decision-making.
HARASSMENT POLICY
DeafBlind Community of Texas is providing this event as an opportunity for safe, respectful learning and will not permit harassment, discrimination or horizontal violence based on another's comments, questions, schema, race, color, religion, hearing status, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or any other protected class.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If a staff member, volunteer, or participant must cancel for any reason, please submit this request in writing to camp@dbctx.org or your direct supervisor as soon as possible. Refunds will be issued if required.
