DeafBlind is a rich culture that includes the condition of a significant impact on both hearing and sight; or have a progressive diagnosis that could lead to this condition. A DeafBlind person falls on a spectrum of hearing and sight levels, from low-vision and hard of hearing up to being fully deaf and blind. Any combination within the spectrum has a unique impact on communication and environmental access. DeafBlind people use a variety of languages and communication modes such as spoken language, visual sign language, and/or tactile language.
