An introduction to modern best practices for working with DeafBlind individuals. Hosted by Kevin Richmond, Sarah Goodwin, Heather Pavey, and Jen Borland. Trainers will utilize lived experience and hands-on techniques to provide a robust foundation for working as a CoNavigator, which can be applied to a variety of roles in the DeafBlind community.
As a part of this community conversation, we will discuss the effect of power, privilege, and oppression within the DeafBlind community and the effect of Distantism from support providers.
