SHERWOOD FOREST FAIRE!
CLAN aRMADILLO at sherwood forest faire
march 28-30th
DBCTX is partnering with Sherwood Forest Faire to present ASL and DeafBlind Weekend! All weekend long, ASL Interpreters will be stationed at select shows, and DBCTX will provide Co-Navigators for select periods of the day. During lunch, there will be a scheduled gathering for all participants - it's a DEAF INVASION!! Join Clan Armadillo for a weekend filled with costumes and festivities!
Come for a day, come for a night, or come for the weekend!
CAMPING INFO
Rugged camping will be available with Clan Armadillo. Bring your own tent, sleeping bag, and any other necessities. We will post weather updates as we get close so you can plan accordingly.
Camping passes required per person.
Tickets
Tickets for faire entry and camping will be offered via the Sherwood Forest Faire's website with a GROUP DISCOUNT. Information will be listed here as soon as it becomes available.
DeafBlind guests: if cost for faire entry or camping supplies is a barrier, please contact Jen! Many of our volunteers donate their guest passes back to DBCTX, and we may have resources for camping supplies, such as tents and bedding. You will still be responsible for your camp pass.
Check out www.sherwoodforestfaire.com for more information regarding festival events, food, shoppes, and camping options.
***VOLUNTEERS***
Volunteers are needed - please register and select "volunteer" along with the dates you are available, and we will be in touch. Please do not purchase either tickets or camping passes until you have been contacted by DBCTX!
All volunteers are REQUIRED to wear "faire garb" inside the faireground. Details will be included in your acceptance email.
As compensation for your time, energy, and effort, you are eligible for additional faire entry passes! With these passes you can either come back on a different day and enjoy the faire, or give your pass to a friend or family member. We are grateful for you, and you EARNED these passes - THEY ARE YOURS. If you know you will NOT need your extra passes, please email Jen to donate them to our DeafBlind attendees.
*Volunteers, your camping passes could be FREE!* Contact Jen for details.
REGISTRATION ENDS FRIDAY, MARCH 21st FOR ACCESSIBILITY REQUESTS!!
After that date, you will be responsible for your own co-navigator or other needs.
